Show Your Face 2020

For the 2020 DMU graphic design, illustration and interactive degree show I had the privilege of being a part of the team tasked with branding the show. Our responsibilities involved creating the identity of the show, designing posters and invitations, creating the website and running social media.

As a result of the Covid-19 crisis the show was brought online with our website operating as an online gallery of student work, which hosted a digital Private View put together by tutors.

Our branding sought to celebrate the sense of community within our student body, as well as the individual style and work practice of each student. This resulted in a collaborative approach, each student designed a ‘20’ considering the shape of a nose and an eye with the intention being that their ‘face’ reflect their style, and each element put together to show the ‘2020’ would reflect the student body as a whole. In promoting the show I spoke to Jimmy Carpenter on BBC Radio Leicester and we were featured in an online article posted by The I.
